Join us for a special night of whimsy, wit, and wonderful conversation at Materials for the Arts with acclaimed author Patricia Marx and renowned cartoonist Roz Chast.

The evening will include a reading from some of Marx and Chast’s work and ukelele playing (not simultaneously!), adding a musical touch to the evening.

Following the readings and musical interlude, attendees are invited to  participate in a lively Q&A session with the two iconic New Yorkers. This is your chance to shoot any burning questions you have at Marx and Chast. Trust us, you won’t want to miss it!

Attendees will have the chance to purchase their very own copy of “TIRED TOWN” ($20.68, tax inclusive) for Marx and Chast to sign after the reading.

This event is free to the public. We kindly ask that you RSVP to the event as you won’t be allowed to enter without a ticket confirmation.

This public programming was made possible by MFTA’s nonprofit partner, Friends of Materials for the Arts (FOMA). Public programming aside (this includes Third Thursday!), FOMA is responsible for supporting our Education Center and its programming, including: field trips, Artist and Designer-in-Residence programs, and the MFTA gallery. If you’ve enjoyed our free public programming in the past or would like to help us continue our mission, we kindly suggest a donation of $20 which you can contribute here.

Pursuant to NYC Conflict of Interest Board requirements, please note that donors to Friends of Materials for the Arts will receive no special access to City officials or preferential treatment as a result of a donation.
