Course Title: Posters to Podcasts: Social Activism from the 20th Century to Today

Credits: 3 P-Credit/45 CTLE hours*
Fee: $240 (MFTA*)+ $125 (ASPDP)
Course Description: This week-long course begins in the archives of the New York Historical Society and ends in the studios at Materials for the Arts. You will learn about the history of social movements and the artistic methods they forged. Explore the ways art has carried the message of movements across time, with zines, printmaking, podcasts, and more.
*Note: We are excited to announce that we have scholarship funding to waive the MFTA fee for 10 participants. To be eligible, you must be a NYC Public Schools teacher at a Title 1 school, or high ENI school. This opportunity is first-come, first-served. To request a scholarship, please submit this form.
Registration Instructions: If you are taking this course for P-Credits/+30 Credits, you will need to register on both the MFTA and the ASPDP website. Once you register on MFTA, you will receive instructions for registering on ASPDP.
