The Artists of Materials for the Arts
MFTA Gallery
MFTA’s latest exhibition, The Artists of Materials for the Arts, is a collection of works created by MFTA staff and Teaching Artists. Curated by MFTA Education Associate, Omar Olivera, this show includes fourteen artists and displays of various artistic media including painting, sculpture, collage, and large-scale installation. This exhibition will be on view at the MFTA Gallery until Friday, September, 6.
Exhibiting Artists:
Edyta Halon, Virginia Hoffman, Annalisa Iadicicco, Pamela Isaac, John Cloud Kaiser, Avani Patel, Brian Phillips, Skip LaPlante, David Marini, Louie Miranda, Omar Olivera, Joy Suarez, Harriet Taub, and Roberto Visani.
On Thursday, July 18, MFTA held an opening reception for the gallery show which included musical performances by Bad Hombres, Louie Miranda, and John Cloud Kaiser. Hear from the artists and see video footage from the gallery opening from BronxNet.
