A Love Letter to New York City

Masked Marvelous

Tuesday, October 18, 2022, 6:30-9:30pm

The Foundry
42-38 9th Street
Long Island City, NY 11101

We invite you to join us on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 6:30pm for our annual gala, Masked Marvelous, hosted by Friends of Materials for the Arts. With the theme “A Love Letter to New York City,” this event will celebrate Materials for the Arts’ impact on arts and culture in New York City and honor New Yorkers with deep ties to Materials for the Arts and to the City of New York; Gonzalo Casals, Michael Kelly Williams and Joy Suarez.

For the first time since 2019, our Masked Marvelous event will be in person to celebrate our work. Join us as we uplift one another as we look toward the future with the goal of growing our footprint in New York City; to positively impact more artists, to grow funding for our Artist-in-Residence program, to provide more opportunities for educators and students, and to help more New Yorkers.

At this year’s event we’re honored to have the legendary musicians of the Renee Manning-Earl McIntyre & the Excelsior Symphony and DJ Stretch Armstrong for a vibrant fusion of jazz and hip hop that will keep you dancing all night long. Enjoy live music, roving entertainment, local cuisine, and community at this one-of-a-kind event.

Friends of Materials for the Arts is the nonprofit partner of MFTA, which guides and supports educational and cultural programming, warehouse operations, the MFTA Gallery, and other initiatives.
