| Dear Friends and Supporters of MFTA, I invite you to join us TODAY in celebration of #GivingTuesday and supporting MFTA’s Education Center and general programming, through which we continue to engage New York City’s teachers, students, and the general public on the merits of creatively reusing materials. Over the last year, MFTA’s Education Department has: -Hosted 11 In-School Residencies for 3,728 students and 1,055 teachers -Created 14 Community Events for 1,993 participants -Facilitated 127 Free Field Trips to 2,224 students and 208 teachers -Offered 9 Professional Development Courses to 329 educators. At a time when we have all experienced, and are experiencing, the pandemic in different ways, generosity and kindness are what bring people together. Now, more than ever, we must exist for communities that need MFTA the most.
