Donating During COVID-19
MFTA’s mission is to collect materials, keep them out of the landfill and give them to thousands of nonprofit organizations and public schools for Creative Reuse projects. Thanks to donations from businesses and individuals – like you, MFTA is helping those who need and contributing to a cleaner, greener world.
Important Notice: Due to COVID-19, Due to Covid-19, the Materials for the Arts warehouse is closed for donation drop-offs and pick-ups. However, you can still mail/ship items to Materials for the Arts using the address below. Please include a copy of our donation drop-off form with your package.Attn: DONATIONS Materials for the Arts 33-00 Northern Boulevard, 3rd Fl. Long Island City, NY 11101 For larger donation items like furniture, pianos, and electronics, you can post them using our online option, Direct Donations. DIRECT DONATIONS
MFTA hosts an online portal where Donors can post items that cannot be accommodated in the warehouse. Members contact you directly to arrange pick up. These items may include a laptop or cell phone, pianos, cars, cubicles and large appliances.

BE SURE TO INCLUDE THE DONOR’S CONTACT INFORMATION AND DECLARED VALUE OF DONATED ITEMS TO ENSURE PROMPT RECEIPT OF A TAX ACKNOWLEDGEMENT LETTER.
MFTA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY ITEM during a drop-off or scheduled pickup, including any materials not officially approved or ones that fail to meet quality standards.
