Explore Whitney Oldenburg’s Exhibition: “Loose Ends” on view in the MFTA Gallery

Woman looks at Whitney Oldenburg's sculpture titled Shoe Lace in the MFTA Gallery. The sculpture is made of intertwined ventilation tubing covered in bright orange yarn-like cord.

Loose Ends by MFTA’s Fall 2019 Artist-in-Residence, Whitney Oldenburg, examines our struggle to keep things together in the modern world, when they can so easily become unraveled. One of Oldenburg’s works in the exhibition, Shoe Lace, measures 31 feet in length and is the largest sculpture to ever be on view at MFTA. Loose Ends will be on view in the MFTA Gallery until March 6, 2020.
