Make Mitten Puppets with Author Fran Quittel

January 16, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

MFTA Third Thursday

Join us for an evening of puppet making and storytelling with accomplished author, Fran Quittel. Perfectly attuned to winter and the experience we have all had of losing something we love, Quittel’s book, The Central Park Lost Mitten Party, demonstrates how through imagination and creativity, we can transform events we do not like into joyous experiences.

Bring a remaining shoe, sock, mitten or glove of your own, or use one from our MFTA’s warehouse of supplies, and learn to create puppets from a single mitten or sock, transforming one of life’s bumps in the road into a new adventure.

We also invite you to join author Fran Quittel or at FAO Schwarz on January 18, 2020 for a book signing at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY after her Third Thursday at Materials for the Arts.
