Visit MFTA Gallery for artist Elisa Insua’s solo exhibition, “The Path of Least Resistance.” As MFTA’s Spring 2020 Artist-in-Residence, Insua has transformed buttons, beads, jewelry, electronics, and toys into elaborate large-scale assemblage works that examine excess and consumption in our society.

Born in Buenos Aires, Elisa Insua started her practice as a self-taught artist, creating assemblages and sculptures with discarded materials. In her work, Insua often explores concepts related to economics, overconsumption, and human insatiability. Her artwork has been shown across Argentina, Spain, Venezuela, Belgium, and the United Kingdom.

The exhibition is open to the public on Wednesdays. Please select the date and time you would like to attend the gallery below. Time slots for September will be released at the end of August. To request an additional time to view the gallery, email jkaiser@mfta.nyc.gov.
