Mask Making Workshop with Warren King

February 16 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us for a mask-making workshop led by artist Warren King in partnership with the Asian American Arts Alliance as a part of Long Island City’s Lunar New Year Celebration. Pivoting from a career in engineering, King’s path into the artworld is one he has carved on his own. A self-taught artist, King creates sculptures using corrugated cardboard inspired by his Chinese heritage.

At this workshop, participants are invited to create masks in King’s artistic style using surplus cardboard from the MFTA warehouse, deriving inspiration from the artist’s own exploration of culture and connection in his work.
