A Conversation with Anna Sacks “The Trash Walker”

January 9, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Free

Join us at the Materials for the Arts warehouse for a LIVE show recording of the podcast Person Place Thing with Randy Cohen, which engages famous writers, actors, performers, artists, thinkers, and creatives in intimate conversations as they discuss one person, one place, and one thing that are important to them. At this special event, Cohen will be in conversation with waste expert and activist Anna Sacks.

Dedicated to passing waste legislation in NYC and raising consciousness about consumption on social media, Anna Sacks shares her trash adventures with nearly half a million followers as @thetrashwalker. Sacks also serves as the Legislative Chair of the Manhattan Solid Waste Advisory Board, co-founder of the #SaveOurCompost coalition.

MFTA invites you to our warehouse for this special Person Place Thing show recording, featuring music from fiddle player Reid Jenkins. Enjoy refreshments and conversations with NYC’s creative community.

RSVPs to this event will be added to Person Place Thing email list.
