“Bygone Buttons Fill a Hole for New York Arts Groups” – WSJ

Image of the newspaper clipping of the "Bygone Buttons Fill Hole for Arts Groups" story in the Wall Street Journal. In the clipping there is a photo of a man and a woman looking through the bins at Materials for the Arts for buttons. THere are also upclose pictures of vintage buttons in the Materials for the Arts warehouse.

When beloved NYC institution, Tender Buttons, closed its doors, the shop owner, Millicent Safro, decided there was no place better to donate a portion of her vintage button collection than Materials for the Arts.

Learn more about this story in the Wall Street Journal.

Meanwhile, Ms. Safro had to contend with her excess inventory-a bounty of buttons that would take two lifetimes to sell, she observed.
