Artist Talk with Tijay Mohammed

MFTA Third Thursday
June 18, 2020, 7-8pm

Join us online for a live conversation with MFTA Spring 2020 Artist-in-Residence, Tijay Mohammed and MFTA Education Director, John Kaiser. Mohammed will share his unique approaches to reuse, including his metro card project and large-scale installations made with fabric sourced across Africa and New York City.

He will walk us through images of his work and discuss how heritage, culture, women, and community have shaped him as an artist.MFTA invites guests to attend the talk, which will be live streamed on YouTube. Attendees may take part in the conversation by submitting their questions to Tijay Mohammed during the virtual event.
