Make Aquaponics Sculptures

MFTA Third Thursday
Aquaponics Sculptures with Aritst/Scientist David Marini
March 21, 2019 | 6:30-8:30pm

Come to Materials for the Arts to learn how to grow plants in unique places, and learn how to build aquaponics systems with reusable materials. David Marini, an artist who works with the Cornell Aquaponics program, will guide participants in how to create their own CD case planter and how to make large sculptures with fish tanks. Dive deeper into Aquaculture, Solar Punk, and Hydroponics, and explore the connections between art, science, and the environment.

About MFTA Third Thursday events:
Every Third Thursday of the month MFTA holds public programming—from craft making, to artist talks, performances, and gallery openings. Come to MFTA and enjoy music, refreshments, and the creative NYC community with this monthly gathering. Funding for Third Thursdays is provided by the Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation.
