MFTA Designer-in-Residence Scooter LaForge

Join us on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 6:30 — 8:30pm for a presentation of works created by MFTA Designer-in-Residence Scooter LaForge.

LaForge is a New York-based artist who resides in the East Village and whose unique style mines the catalog of art history by infusing classical themes with a colorful sensibility. LaForge works in various media, including painting, sculpture, and drawing, and employs unorthodox techniques and striking iconic images. His paintings have been shown at the Leslie-Lohman Museum in New York, the Friedrichshof Museum in Vienna, and the Spritmuseum/Absolut Art Collection in Sweden. Scooter LaForge was awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant and holds a BFA in painting from the University of Arizona.
