Are you a teacher? An artist? Work with a museum, dance troupe or theater company? These are just a few examples of members who use Materials for the Arts donations to support creativity in New York City nonprofit organizations or public schools. Material donations are made available free-of-charge to members from over 4,000 registered nonprofit organizations and public schools from across the five boroughs.

Creative people who use supplies from Materials for the Arts protect and sustain the environment by making use of hundreds of tons of materials that would otherwise end up in our landfills. Recipients use materials to teach children, invigorate museums, and delight audiences throughout New York City. Recipients also save money by using our supplies. Our dynamic inventory offers a wide and eclectic selection of items.

To receive materials at the warehouse, you must be an MFTA member, and you must schedule an appointment online. There is no charge for any item obtained by a recipient through MFTA.

Registered recipients can log into their account via the Member Log-in screen.
Recipients can schedule appointments , obtain items through the online Direct Donations listing, create a wishlist of specific items, and also view invoices.

New recipients should register for the welcome orientation.
If you are not a registered recipient you can become an MFTA member if you qualify.
