Collaboration makes collage, photos from last Thursday’s open studio

Last Thursday, MFTA opened its studio to the public, set out refreshments and a ton of supplies, and watched creativity flow. With guidance from Chase Carlisle, a professional artist who teaches with MFTA, participants in March’s open studio program created mixed-media collage on large and small scales. Some of the works created will be exhibited during WasteDiversions, MFTA Gallery’s upcoming exhibition. Check out more pictures after the jump.

See collage from this month and sculptures from February’s open studio, as well as new work from MFTA recipients, at the reception for WasteDiversions, Thursday, March 29, from 6-9 pm.
